Virtual Private Network

A virtual private network is a mechanism for creating a secure connection between a computing device and a computer network, or between two networks, using an insecure communication medium such as the public Internet.

WireGuard® is an extremely simple yet fast and modern VPN that utilizes state-of-the-art cryptography. It aims to be faster, simpler, leaner, and more useful than IPsec, while avoiding the massive headache. It intends to be considerably more performant than OpenVPN. WireGuard is designed as a general purpose VPN for running on embedded interfaces and super computers alike, fit for many different circumstances. Initially released for the Linux kernel, it is now cross-platform (Windows, macOS, BSD, iOS, Android) and widely deployable.
OpenVPN is the name of the open source project started by our co-founder. OpenVPN protocol has emerged to establish itself as a de- facto standard in the open source networking space with over 50 million downloads. OpenVPN is entirely a community-supported OSS project which uses the GPL license. The project has many developers and contributors from OpenVPN Inc. and from the broader OpenVPN community. In addition, there are numerous projects that extend or are otherwise related to OpenVPN.

Wireguard + OpenVPN are free and open source – there are no limitations and you can inspect, integrate, extend and modify however you want.
