Moving the database

Backup within the program (Administration > Database > Backup)
When installed on the other machine restore the backup.
The other additional computers might detect there is another database available to connect to
but will pick up 2 databases whilst the current database remains on the machine it is on at the moment.
When you are happy the data has restored successfully remove the full installation from the old machine:

1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a program
2. Uninstall TaxCalc Hub and PostgreSQL 9.0
3. Now go to My Computer > C:\ > Delete 'TaxCalc Hub' Folder
4. Open Program Files (or Program Files x86 if present) > Delete PostgreSQL' folder
5. Finally, go to Start > type 'cmd' in the search box then press enter
6. Type 'control userpasswords2' > Delete the postgres user
Now you can install the 'additional machine' installation on this computer

Creating a Connection File

1. On the server click Windows Start button
2. Select; All Programs / TaxCalc Hub
3. Select; Discovery Response Editor program
4. Select; Create Database Connection File button
5. Save this ASP_DB_Connection.txt file.
6. On the additional machine, drag and drop the ASP_DB_Connection.txt file onto the error dialog box.

If you still cannot log in, you will likely see a different error

For TaxCalc to connect to the database the following ports need to be open through the firewall:
 5432
 3838
 6178
